It provides a current, accurate record of what actually exists, helping teams plan work, verify dimensions, identify clashes early, and avoid rework on site. 3D scanning can remove risks, reduce manpower costs and prove far more accurate that traditional survaying methods. As an example we performed a 3D scan using a Leica TRK 700, the 40 minute scan offered far more accuracy than a previous 3 person team that took 2 days on the same task.
